Wael Barsoum, MD, is Vice Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Cleveland Clinic. He has become involved in the clinical leadership of the department and is an avid researcher and innovator. His specialty interests include reconstructive surgery of the hip and knee joints, including arthroscopy, minimally invasive surgery of the hip and knee, and primary and revision joint replacements. He leads a productive research team, and he has written several articles and book chapters and has made numerous national and international presentations. Dr. Barsoum completed his medical school training at The Ohio State University in 1995, and went on to finish his orthopaedic surgery residency training at Cleveland Clinic in 2000.
