Dr. Stuart W. Landau is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Landau received his Bachelor’s of Science degree at the City College of New York in 1979. He then went on to receive his Doctorate in Medicine at the New York Medical College in 1981. His post-graduate training includes internship and residency in internal medicine at the Stamford Hospital in Stamford, Connecticut, fellowship in Cardiology at the Hospital of St. Raphael, in New Haven, Connecticut, and a fellowship in Electrophysiology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, New York.
Dr. Landau was appointed the Chief of Cardiology at the Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains, New York in 1987. Dr. Landau founded a private practice with Dr. Howard Sacher and Dr. Roger Kersten in 1988. Almost 20 years later, they continue to successfully own and operate CIMLI. Dr. Landau is a professional member of the American College of Cardiology and is affiliated with New Island Hospital of Bethpage and North Shore Plainview Hospital.
Dr. Landau has performed clinical research for Carcinoid Heart Disease Involving All Four Heart Valves. Dr. Landau has had many publications some of which include “Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy†and “Unexpected Reversal of an Idiopathic Cardiomyopathy and the Urgent Need for Reevaluation of the Indicators of Survivalâ€. Both were published in the New York State Journal of Medicine in 1992.
