Brief Intro

Dr. Brothers grew up in Bend, Oregon, in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. She earned a dual Bachelor's degree in Engineering Sciences and Biology from the United States Air Force Academy, Colorado. At graduation, she was commissioned as an Air Force Officer, and was assigned to the School of Aerospace Medicine at Brooks AFB in San Antonio, TX. After performing medical research for 5 years, she resigned her commission as Captain in the U.S. Air Force and moved to Dallas to attend the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Brothers completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. She was enamored by the environment of "evidence-based medicine," teaching, and patient-friendly continuity of care in private practice, so she chose to pursue private practice in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Brothers has been in private practice for nearly twenty years, providing women of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds with choices and guidance through all their gynecologic needs. Dr. Brothers prides herself with the ability to walk a patient through treatment options based upon her individuality, from contraceptives for an athlete or an executive, to alternative birthing experiences for women who desire minimal intervention, to management of heavy menstrual cycles. She has assisted many women with infertility issues to achieve the pregnancy they desired. Dr. Brothers is honest, ethical, and genuinely caring. Dr. Brothers lives in Old East Dallas with her husband, Dr. Michael Holub, in a very old house. They spend the majority of their free time trying to keep up with their five children & one grandchild and their various activities; from Boy Scouts and football, to occasional High-Adventure trips including hiking in Big Bend, and Cycle Oregon.
