Dr. Kanani has been on the medical staff at Inova Fairfax Hospital since 2004, and is co-director of the Stereotactic Radiosurgery Program. His professional interests include treatment of cancers of the prostate, brain, lung, esophagus, head and neck and gastrointestinal tract.
Dr. Kanani attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in psychology and biology. He earned his MD degree at the University of Texas Medical School at Galveston, and served an internship at Pennsylvania State University. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Maryland, where he was Chief Resident. He dedicated his final year to research and training in brachytherapy (radiation implants) and radiosurgery.
Dr. Kanani is board certified in Radiation Oncology.
