Dr. Compton is a graduate of Poudre High School and Colorado State University. He received his MD from The University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1991. Dr. Compton was an Internal Medicine Resident from 1991-1994 and a Gastroenterology Fellow from 1994-1997 at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. He is currently a member of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the Colorado Medical Society. He joined the Centers for Gastroenterology in 1999.
