Dr. Olalekan Akanbi was born and raised in Nigeria where he received his medical education at the nation’s premier university- University of Ibadan College of Medicine, Nigeria. Afterward, he completed a Master of Public Health degree at Harvard School of Public Health, Boston USA. Dr. Akanbi completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Presence St. Joseph Hospital, Chicago, and his Gastroenterology fellowship at the University of Missouri-Columbia where he was privileged to serve as Chief Fellow. Dr. Akanbi started with MNGI in 2024.
