Dr. Michael Somermeyer was born in Hamberg, Iowa. He attended University of Iowa for a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. He received his Medical School training at the University of Iowa Medical School and completed his Post-graduate training at the University of Michigan. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Nephrology and Critical Care. Dr. Somermeyer joined Kidney Specialists of Minnesota in 1982 and works at Kidney Specialists of Minnesota Brooklyn Center clinic.
