Dr. Van Rysselberghe is a Portland native who is thrilled to be giving back to the state of Oregon through high-quality orthopaedic trauma care. She attended medical school at UC San Diego and did her orthopaedic residency training at Stanford University. Following this, Dr. Van Rysselberghe completed the prestigious Orthopaedic Traumatology Advanced Clinical Experience (TACE) fellowship at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where she learned to treat complex fractures in multiply-injured patients with the highest standard of quality. Prior to this, she also completed an AO traveling fellowship at Kantonsspital Graubunden, in Chur, Switzerland, considered one of the best trauma centers in Europe.
Dr. Van Rysselberghe has authored multiple textbook chapters and over 30 scientific articles relevant to orthopaedic trauma. She believes in treating each patient as if they were her family member, considering the individual's goals, lifestyle, and injury characteristics to form a personalized treatment plan.
In her free time, Dr. Van Rysselberghe enjoys trail running and racing, all forms of skiing, mountain biking, stand-up paddleboarding, and spending time with family, friends, and dogs.
