Mirla Avila, M.D. is certified through the American Board of Neurology. She received her degree from the Universidad de Monterrey, Monterrey-Mexico in 2001. She completed a Neurology residency program in Monterrey Mexico at Hospital San Jose, Instiuto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores (Technological Institute for advanced Education) and a clinical and fellowship program in Multiple Sclerosis at Maxine Mesinger MS Comprehensive Care Center, in Houston Texas. She now serves as the Assistant Professor and Associate Program Director of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Neurology Department specializing in Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
