Matthew B. Earnest, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is an interventional cardiologist at AdventHealth Medical Group Cardiology & Cardiovascular Surgery at Shawnee Mission.
Board-certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology, Dr. Earnest earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Virginia. He then returned to the University of Kansas to complete fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.
Before joining AdventHealth in 2020, Dr. Earnest worked as an interventional cardiologist and clinical administrative leader at The University of Kansas Health System and was a clinical assistant professor at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. He has presented extensively on matters of the heart to various medical and first responder audiences and has contributed to numerous publications on cardiology research.
Dr. Earnest is a fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI) and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). In his free time, he enjoys golf, baseball and snow skiing.
