Lynn McMahan, MD, is founder of Southern Eye Center in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Since 1977, Dr. McMahan and his team of fellowship-trained surgeons have provided eye care to patients across Mississippiâ€™s Pine Belt. A graduate of University of Mississippi Medical Center, Dr. McMahan completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Alabama where he served as Chief Resident. He performed his fellowship training in Memphis, Tennessee under Dr. David Meyer. Dr. McMahan has been named one of Americaâ€™s Top Ophthalmologists, Best Doctors in America, and a Mississippi Foundation to Preserve Sight Person of Vision. In an effort to provide cataract procedures to those unable to afford such care, he founded the Gift of Sight Program and was awarded the Governorâ€™s Give Award.
