Jaime Jiménez, MD, Hattiesburg retina surgeon at Southern Eye Center’s focuses on every aspect of retina care including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal tears and ocular inflammation (uveitis) as well as glaucoma. Following medical school and residency in ophthalmology at the Medical Sciences Campus at University of Puerto Rico, Dr. Jiménez completed his vitreo-retinal fellowship training at the University of Texas in Houston in 1992. In 1999 he was named a “Top 40 under 40 Leader†by the Mississippi Business Journal and in 2011, was recognized as a “Mississippi Healthcare Hero.â€
