Dr. John DiPreta is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon. His area of orthopaedic interest is in treating disorders of the foot and ankle. His particular focus in on reconstruction of ligamentous and tendon disorders, fractures and posttraumatic reconstruction of foot and ankle is also a significant part of his practice.
Dr. DiPreta is very active in the community participating with many local non-for-profit groups such as the Arthritis Foundation. Dr. DiPreta also works with the medical community providing education presentations. Dr. DiPreta is affiliated with Albany Medical Center, St. Peter's Hospital, and Albany Memorial Hospital.
Dr. DiPreta received his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He completed his internship and residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He completed his orthopaedic fellowship at the Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania under the instruction of Drs. Keith L. Wapner and Paul J. Hecht. Dr DiPreta joined Capital Region Orthopaedics in 2001.
