Dr. Long studied both the sciences as well as the humanities in college, majoring in History and Literature at Harvard University. After college, she returned home to Missouri for medical school at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She completed her pediatrics internship year at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center in St. Louis and her pediatrics residency at the University of Missouri-Columbia Children’s Hospital. She has been an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics throughout her training and won the Advocacy Excellence Award from her residency program for her work in pediatric literacy promotion. When not at work, Dr. Long enjoys photography, running, reading novels, and exploring Oregon with her family.
