Dr. Elinor Anan, who joined Kessler Institute in 1995, is Clinical Chief of Amputee Services. In this position, she oversees the entire amputee rehabilitation process, including wound care and pre- and post-prosthetic management. Her other areas of interest include spinal cord injury, pain management, osteoporosis and general medical rehabilitation.
She received her medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, and went on to complete a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She is a board certified physiatrist with sub-specialty certification in spinal cord injury medicine.
Dr. Anan has co-authored several articles on rehabilitation that have been published in national medical journals. She is an active member of the American Medical Association, the New Jersey Society of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
