Brief Intro

Dr. Eduardo Salazar is a board-eligible and fellowship-trained orthopedic sports medicine surgeon offering care for various musculoskeletal conditions for patients of all ages. Dr. Salazar grew up in the East Valley and is a graduate of Arizona State University and The University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix. He completed his residency training at the University of California San Francisco – Fresno Orthopedic Surgery Residency Program, where he served as a team physician for Fresno FC in the USL Championship and Central Valley Fuego FC in USL League 1. He then pursued fellowship training at the UHZ Sports Medicine Institute in Coral Gables, Florida where he served as a physician for the Miami HEAT, the Miami Dolphins, the CapitalOne Orange Bowl, Inter Miami CF, the CONCACAF Gold Cup, Florida International University, and Miami-Dade County Public School District. Dr. Salazar also served as faculty at the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He has published research in peer-reviewed journals; presented at local, national, and international society meetings; and currently serves on the editorial board for Arthroscopy: The Journal of Arthroscopic and Related Surgery. Dr. Salazar is passionate about providing the best orthopedic care to patients of all ages and competition levels, from the Olympian to the high school athlete to the weekend warrior. In addition to general sports injuries, Dr. Salazar specializes in knee instability, cartilage preservation, rotator cuff tears, shoulder instability, and shoulder arthritis including shoulder resurfacing and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty. In his free time, Dr. Salazar enjoys time with his wife Kylee and their 3 children, playing basketball, trying new food, and cheering on the Phoenix Suns and Arizona State Sun Devils. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese.
