Dr. West attended undergraduate school at the University of Texas at Austin, receiving her degree in Zoology. She received her medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where she also served her internship and residency in urology. Dr. West's urology training, she has also served as a research fellow at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center Research Division, Smithville, Texas. Dr. West has been in private practice since 2001, becoming a member of Urology Associates of North Texas in 2002. She is a member of several professional associations, including the American Urological Society, Texas Medical Society, and the Society for Women in Urology.
