Dr. Wellborn is a graduate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York. Dr. Wellborn completed his residency at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He has worked as general orthopaedic surgeon specializing in joint replacement surgery: minimally invasive hip and knee replacements, elbow and shoulder joint replacements, gender-specific knee replacements, and computer navigation based surgery. Dr. Wellborn has also treated disorders of the upper and lower extremities with operative and non-operative modalities for all age groups and activity levels. He is dedicated to community service and currently serves as team physician to Lake Braddock High Sc hool in Burke Virginia.
