After receiving his undergraduate degree with honors from Tulane University in New Orleans, Dr. Christopher Gilbert went on to receive his medical degree from Tulane University. Dr. Gilbert completed his residency in Baltimore at Baltimore City Hospital and Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was awarded Outstanding Fellow during his postgraduate fellowship in Cardiology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Dr Gilbert has been practicing General and Interventional Cardiology with Escondido Cardiology Associates since 1982. He is Board Certified in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology and American College of Physicians.
