Brief Intro

Brian Lee Fong, M.D., graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology in 1984. He received a graduate studies degree in physiology from the University of Hawaii in 1986 and earned his medical degree from the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine in 1989. He earned an internship in General Surgery at the University of Hawaii Integrated Orthopedic Residency Program in 1994 and completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Hawaii Integrated Surgical Residency Program in 1990. He did a fellowship in Sports Medicine/Orthopedic Surgery at Tulane University Medical School. In addition to private practice, Dr. Fong currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Orthopedics for Tulane University School of Medicine and is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Fong is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. In his free time, Dr. Fong volunteers as the team physician for local Northshore high schools and offers free Athletic Injury Clinics at Southern Surgical Hospital on Saturday mornings.
