Dr. Melman joined our surgical group in 1987. He completed his surgical residency at Staten Island University Hospital in 1986. In 1987, he completed his Vascular Fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center. Dr. Melman is a board-certified general surgeon who also specializes in vascular surgery, particularly small vessel bypasses, as well as carotid and aortic surgery. He performs general surgery, including laparoscopic procedures for gallbladder disease, diverticulitis and colitis. He is the Assistant Director of Surgery at Good Samaritan Hospital and has been a member of the Medical Board at Good Samaritan Hospital.
