Dr. Talbert is a native of Middle Tennessee. She went to college at Southwestern at Memphis, now Rhodes College, where she received a BS in Chemical Biology. She earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis where she also completed an Internal Medicine residency. She completed a fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. She also completed a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Chattanooga. She enjoys living on Signal Mountain near Chattanooga where she enjoys tending to her dog and her chickens.
