Brief Intro

One of the reasons that Krisann enjoys her career in medicine is because it provides her with the unique opportunity to meet and interact with people every day. She finds much fulfillment in getting to care for and make a difference in the lives of other people.Krisann enjoys getting to know her patients, learning about their unique experiences and varying cultures. She chose a specialty in surgery because she likes working with post-surgical patients, helping to walk them through what can sometimes seem a daunting process.Krisann credits growing up with a single mother who was dedicated to furthering her education as one of the biggest influences in her life. From an early age, she knew that she would be a life-long learner. In her free time, Krisann enjoys volunteering at her local church and providing healthcare to refugee children. She recently completed two half marathons, helping to provide clean drinking water and services to children and families in Africa. Krisann’s family has helped by sponsoring a child in Uganda.I consider it a privilege to get to work with patients from all different backgrounds and different experiences, helping them to feel their best. I enjoy having the ability to develop patient-centered relationships and partner with my patients to set health goals. I have a passion for patient education and teaching. I love that medicine always provides an opportunity for me to continue to learn.
