Kimberly graduated with her BSN from Clemson and remains a tiger fan. She worked as an RN in Atlanta, before returning to graduate school at Emory University, where she received her Masters in Nursing degree. She is board certified and has practiced as a family nurse practitioner for 20 years. She has worked in family practice, internal medicine, pain management, convenient care, and addiction. Kimberly has treated clients across the lifespan and enjoys working with clients of all ages. While working in addiction, Kimberly saw the need for more psychiatric providers. She decided to further her education at The University of South Carolina and become a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Kimberly has been an active member of Sigma Theta Tau, International Nursing Honor Society since 1999. She has also been active in the Upstate Nurse Practitioner Association for 20 years, including serving as a past board member. Kimberly believes strongly in helping others. She volunteers with her church locally, and has participated on mission trips to Haiti, Ukraine, and China. Through the years, the body and mind connection has always remained a focus with clients. Kimberly accepts and meets clients where they are. Understanding mental health disorders, as well as treatment options, allows clients to make informed decisions about their treatment plan. Kimberly’s goal with each client is together, find a treatment plan that will enable each person to be the best version of themselves. Kimberly enjoys spending time with her husband, teenagers, and 2 Corgis. Weekends revolve around her children’s activities at soccer fields and Lake Hartwell. Kimberly enjoys playing tennis and traveling in her free time.
