Since a young age, Heather has always been active by participating in sports. In fact, she decided to pursue a career in orthopedics and sports medicine because it allowed her to work in an environment that fulfills her love of activity while allowing her to care for people of all ages and athletic abilities. Because no two patients are exactly alike, she enjoys the challenge of finding the best plan of care for each individual she sees.Heather’s faith, family and friends have been the biggest influence in her life because their passion and support helps drive her on a daily basis. Beyond her career, Heather enjoys volunteering for her church and as a medical provider for local sporting events and charity fundraisers. In her free time she likes playing volleyball with her husband, walking her dog, hiking with friends, or reading a great book when it’s too rainy to be outside.Every patient has a different definition of their own active lifestyle— from walking the dog, to gardening, to traditional sports, and beyond. Helping patients get back to the activities that bring them joy is both the challenge and reward that I look forward to each day.
