Meet Dr. Facaros
Dr. Zacharia Facaros is a fellowship-trained and board-certified podiatric physician and surgeon. Raised in Oakmont in a Greek household with three brothers, he earned his Doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine after completing a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Franklin and Marshall College. His training includes a three-year residency at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center, where he gained expertise in both non-surgical and surgical care. He further enhanced his skills with a one-year fellowship focused on diabetic foot and ankle reconstructive surgery under Dr. Thomas Zgonis at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Facaros also served as a clinical instructor, contributing to the education of podiatric students and residents while engaging in clinical research.
