William S. Bradford was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, attended schools in the U.S. and Libya; received his high school diploma from Colegio Nueva Granada in Bogota, Colombia; earned his BA and the Sophie Kerr Prize in 1969 from Washington College, Chestertown, MD. From 1973 to 1975 he fulfilled his pre-medical course requirements at the University of Maryland, College Park. Dr. Bradford received his MD from the Universidad Nacional Pedro Enriquez Urea, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic in 1980 and completed his surgical residency at Western Pennsylvania Hospital, Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh Hospitals, Pennsylvania in 1985.
