Brief Intro

William Porter McRoberts, M.D. is an Interventional Physiatrist, double board certified in Physiatry, which is a cross between neurology and orthopedics, and Interventional Spine and Pain, a cross of neurosurgery and anesthesiology.Dr. McRoberts is particularly interested in finding the cause of pain, appropriately diagnosing it, and making a treatment plan that has lasting results. He specializes in the minimally invasive neurosurgical treatment of pain.Even having completed over 50,000 surgeries, written over 45 articles, and has more than 36 years of training, Dr. McRoberts wants you to know that he is skilled and passionate about his work, but more importantly, he is dedicated to his patients. With support from his excellent staff and high-quality treatment plans, his patients' care always comes first. He understands that picking a doctor can be challenging but when you choose Dr. Mcroberts and his team, you are in good hands.Having recently returned from a sailing and research sabbatical, Dr. McRoberts has joined Florida Spine Specialists practicing Interventional Physiatry treating acute and chronic pain. Prior to joining, Dr. McRoberts built and directed the multi-specialty research and practice group, Holy Cross Interventional Spine and Pain Medicine Program. Having authored multitudes of research articles and book chapters, served as primary investigator and research scientist on dozens of research trials with the FDA, lectured and taught worldwide on his design and innovation of novel approaches to the treatment of pain and spine disorders, he is keen to start this new chapter, in private practice, with Florida Spine Specialists.
