Brief Intro

William M. Sikov, MD, is a hematologist and medical oncologist in The Leonard and Adele R. Decof Family Comprehensive Cancer Center at The Miriam Hospital. His clinical and research interests include the treatment of early stage and advanced breast cancer and colorectal cancer. A clinical associate professor of medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Sikov is board certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology. He is a member of several professional societies, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American College of Physicians and Cancer & Leukemia Group B (CALGB), where he serves on the Board of Directors. He is associated director and chair of the Breast Committee of the Brown University Oncology Group (BrUOG). Sikov serves as principal investigator for ongoing clinical trials conducted regionally by the BrUOG and nationally by the CALGB. He had been invited to give presentations within the United States and internationally on the treatment of early stage and advanced breast cancer. He has published articles in a number of prestigious journals and serves as an invited reviewer for the Journal of Clinical Oncology, Cancer Investigation, and Cancer. After graduating from Brown University, Sikov received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He completed training in internal medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and his fellowship in hematology-oncology at New England Medical Center (now Tufts Medical Center) in Boston.
