Dr. James is an accomplished anesthesiologist and pain medicine physician. Dr. James graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1979. Dr. James went on to direct the Anesthesiology Residency Program at Toledo Hospital from 1986 until 1990. Long interested in pain management, he founded Toledo Pain Services in 1992. Toledo Pain Services was later rebranded to Comprehensive Centers for Pain Management in 2008. Dr. James was made aware of a lack of quality pain management care in the Grand Junction area. After long consideration, he opened Colorado Injury and Pain Specialists in 2018. Dr. James is adamant about constantly learning and improving as a provider. His experience and knowledge are an invaluable asset to Colorado Injury and Pain Specialists.
