Brief Intro

I was raised in San Diego, California and after high school graduation went on to UCLA where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Biology. I was unsuccessful in my initial application to medical school but remained in the sciences doing research. My passion for patient care kept me involved in volunteer community endeavors that exposed me to mentors who prompted me to stay focused on my initial dream. I worked as a phlebotomist for six years and became a physician assistant where I remained for 12 years. I found that many of my patient care tasks did not require the direct supervision of a doctor, as well there were many areas of overlap. At 35, I decided to reapply to medical school, which was successful, and eventually, I specialized in Obstetrics and Gynecology. My career has been well rounded, ranging from hospital governance, owning my own OB/Gyn practice for the last 18 years, public speaking on Women’s Health topics and training many nurse practitioners and physician assistants. Currently I am transitioning as well as rebranding my practice as a physician. I have a growing interest in functional medicine and aesthetics. I desire to use my strong background in Gynecology but draw on transitional as well as functional concepts in my style of care. My practice will offer telemedicine as well as traditional office care to avail myself in both clinical styles. I am currently sharing office space with and ultrasonagrapher and Nurse Practitioner who cares for both Obstetrical and Gynecological patients. We are located in the delightful community of Rancho Cucamonga, California. It is our attempt to appeal to both men and women in the services we offer.
