Dr. Vijaiganesh Nagarajan, known as Dr. VJ, is an Interventional Cardiologist with lots of experience and an impressive range of qualifications. He holds an MBBS and Royal College of Physicians membership both of which he achieved in the UK. In addition, he is certified with the American Heart Association. For the last 10 years, he has worked in various medical centers and hospitals across Texas.
Throughout his successful career so far, Dr. VJ’s goal remains the same: to provide expert and compassionate care to all of his patients. With a superb bedside manner, he is able to understand and communicate complex medical problems clearly to the various stakeholders involved in making decisions about a patient's health.
Dr. VJ is a leading figure in interventional cardiology. He has received numerous honors and awards, including a 2012 American Heart Association National Young Investigator Award and the 2015 American College of Cardiology Jeopardy Virginia State Winner title. Dr. VJ has been recognized especially for his clinical skills and teaching abilities, with awards from John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County and the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He has also been dedicated to humanitarian efforts and was given the Humanitarian Resident Award from John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County for his empathy and friendliness. Dr. VJ is a passionate educator, with a Student Education and Teaching Award from Rush University Medical Students to his name.
