Dr. Tenkejian specializes in thoracic, vascular and general surgery. He earned his medical degree from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. He completed a surgical internship at the American University of Beirut Hospital and his residency in general and cardiothoracic surgery at West Virginia University in Morgantown, W.Va. Dr. Tenkejian is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the Medical Society of Virginia, American College of Surgery, Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Southern Society of Thoracic Surgeons, Virginia Vascular Society and Southeast Surgical Congress. He also has served as physician adviser to Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center since 2007.
