Brief Intro

I am originally from Los Angeles. After high school, I attended UC Santa Barbara for my undergraduate degree in biological sciences. I then attended the University of Southern California, where I obtained a master’s degree in molecular and experimental pathology while completing my thesis on cellular mechanisms of programmed cell death involved Alzheimer’s disease. This experience fueled my interest in neuroscience, leading me to medical school at the Medical College of Virginia (now Virginia Commonwealth University). Ultimately, I decided to pursue neurosurgery residency training at UCLA. My experience in residency was comprehensive and fun, despite the long hours involved. After residency, I further augmented my training by completing a fellowship in complex spinal surgery at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital.
