Dr. Ouseph joined the St. Joseph Medical Group psychiatric team in November 2009. Prior to joining the group, she worked as a psychiatrist for Staff Care, the leading locum tenens staffing company in the U.S. Most recently, Dr. Ouseph provided psychiatric care at hospitals and clinics in Marion, Lafayette, Auburn, Fort Wayne and Muncie, Ind. Before joining Staff Care, Dr. Ouseph was a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Stratford.
Dr. Ouseph completed her preuniversity studies at Stella Mary's College in Madras, India, in 1962, and earned a Bsc in chemistry at Women's College in Trivandrum, Kerala, India, in 1965, graduating as a gold medalist. She then earned a medical degree from Kottayam Medical College in Kottayam, Kerala, India, in 1972.
Dr. Ouseph completed a rotating internship at Trivadrum Medical College in Trivandrum, Kerala, India, in 1974. She completed a one-year psychiatric residency at Norristown State Hospital in Norristown, Pa., in 1976, and she completed the second and third years of this residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pa., in 1978.
Dr. Ouseph is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, and she is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. In 2006, she was appointed to the Governor's Medical Advisory Panel for the state of New Jersey.
