Tyler Burpee, MD, is an attending physician at Seattle Children’s Hospital and assistant professor of pediatrics and gastroenterology at the University of Washington School of Medicine. He completed his MD and pediatric residency training here at the University of Washington.
Dr. Burpee then worked as a staff pediatrician with the Indian Health Service on the Navajo Reservation, followed by a fellowship in gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition at Harvard Medical School/Children’s Hospital Boston.  His research interests include inflammatory bowel disease, iron metabolism, and gastroesophageal reflux disease. He is active in medical education and was recently awarded the Outstanding Faculty Teacher award by our pediatric residency training program.
