Dr. Brobyn joins the Chung Institute with over a decade of clinical experience including teaching, lecturing and clinical trial work. Dr. Brobyn received her BA cum laude from Barnard College of Columbia University in 1990 and her MD from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1994. She completed a residency in Family Medicine at Mountainside Hospital in Montclair, NJ in 1997 and served as Chief Practice Management resident. Dr. Brobyn attained board certification by the American Board of Family Medicine in 1998 and in 2008, she was honored with the degree of Fellow from the American Academy of Family Physicians. After serving three years on active duty in the United States Air Force, Dr. Brobyn served as Assistant professor for the Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine and attending physician in Cooper Hospitals Department of Family Medicine from 2000 until 2010. Dr. Brobyn currently serves as Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, School of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Brobyn graduated from the Helms Medical Acupuncture course in 2011 as well as completing training in prolotherapy under the direction of the University of Wisconsins Hackett Hemwell Foundation. She attended the foundations medical mission to Honduras in March of 2011 where she was awarded the ROY award for excellence in both prolotherapy technique and dedication to the mission itself. Dr. Brobyn has a strong interest in slowing age progression through alternative medicine. She is currently training under the American Academy of Anti-Aging in anticipation of developing a division of bio-identical hormone replacement at the Chung Institute. She is a staunch advocate for increasing physical activity in our community and is known by her patients as a doc who practices what she preaches. She has been a finisher in several sporting events including the Disney marathon, the Philadelphia half-marathon, the Philadelphia distance run, the Broad street run, the Westpoint Triathlon and the Pine Barrens Olympic distance triathlon.
