Dr. Maryanov was born in Kiev, Ukraine and immigrated to this country with his family in 1988, becoming an American Citizen in 1995. He grew up in Southern California, completing undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles, majoring in Psychology and Neuroscience, and graduating with Cum Laude Honors in 1999. He then completed medical school at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, graduating in 2004 as a Medical Doctor (MD).During his medical school years, Dr. Maryanov engaged in extensive volunteer work with Spanish-speaking, underprivileged patients on the Mexican-American border and completed a certification in Medical Spanish. In addition to English, he is fluent in Spanish and Russian languages, allowing him to closely engage with patients he sees and evaluates.Dr. Maryanov completed a General Surgical Internship and Neurosurgical Residency from 2004 to 2011 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Hospitals. He was bestowed the honor of being Board Certified in Neurosurgery by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons in 2016 after extensive training, culminating in completion of the written and oral examinations and completing the required neurosurgical operative case experience. He moved to Fort Smith, Arkansas in 2015, initially employed with Sparks Neurosurgical Associates and then completed additional training in pain management with Dr. Sewell at Arkansas Pain and Wellness from 2016-2017.After the closure of Arkansas Pain and Wellness, Dr. Maryanov started an independent practice in Fort Smith where he currently practices interventional and medical pain management and neurosurgery for degenerative spinal and peripheral nerve conditions.Dr. Maryanov has hospital privileges at Sparks Hospital Van Buren, where he performs pain management and neurosurgical procedures.Note: Office closed daily from 12:00pm - 1:00pm for Lunch.
