Dr. Parker is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He attended undergraduate school at the University of the South, Sewanee. Dr. Parker received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He completed his surgery internship at Vanderbilt University, a National Institute of Health research fellowship in surgery at the University of Florida, a gastroenterology Fellowship with the department of Medicine at Vanderbilt and completed his surgical residency at Vanderbilt where he served as both senior resident and chief resident.
