Tamara L. Holzer, DO, FACOS, CPE, joined the Department of Specialty Care- General Surgery at Knox Community Hospital in August 2019. She completed her residency at Doctors Hospital in Columbus after obtaining her doctorate at Des Moines University in Des Moines, IA. Dr. Holzer has also traveled internationally as a general surgeon to multiple locations: Zambia, Africa; Cuenca, Sucua, and Manta, Ecuador; Cubulco, Guatemala; Dominican Republic; and Bangladesh. Specially trained in Robotic Surgery, Dr. Holzer’s experience and knowledge provide an enormous benefit to the department and the community.
