Brief Intro

Dr. Steven J. Butler, DDS is now the senior partner in The Oral Surgery Group. He completed his undergraduate studies at Indiana University and graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1984. Dr. Butler graduated as Valedictorian of his dental school class and received multiple awards for clinical and professional endeavors while there. He started his residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Sinai Hospital of Detroit and joined The Oral Surgery Group in 1988. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and is a Fellow of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Butler has served on the Dental Advisory Board of Physicians Health Plan. He has been an active member of the Isaac Knapp Dental Society and served on the Surgical Committees of several local hospitals. He currently lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana, with his wife and two Labrador Retrievers. Dr. Butler has two adult children and enjoys time with his young grandchild. Dr. Butler has had a long interest in music and was a founding member of the American Academy of Children’s Entertainment. Additionally, he has produced three recordings of original children’s music that have been featured in Billboard Magazine and other publications. His video production of Musical Family Fun with Dr. Steve Butler Live has been featured on the learning channel and was made a fundraiser for families of grieving children. Dr. Butler enjoys restoring antique automobiles and boats, as well as continuing his musical endeavors.
