Steven G. Reitan DDS, Diplomate Steve graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in zoology in 1970. He followed that up with graduate study in genetics at Arizona State before attending Northwestern University to obtain his DDS and become a dentist. He practiced general dentistry for a several years, and was a clinical instructor at the University of Kentucky and Emory University. In 1979 he went back to dental school at Emory and was awarded a certificate in periodontics in 1981. Steve has been practicing periodontics in the valley ever since. Later, Steve became a Diplomate in the American Board of Periodontology upon completion of a written and oral exam. He has participated in studies involving local drug delivery for the treatment of periodontitis and is an active member of local as well as national periodontal societies.
