Every good athlete has a game plan. According to physiatrist Dr. Steve Mazza, so do good doctors.
“A lot of patients with spine and sports injuries can get passed from doctor to doctor and between specialists before they ever get the treatment they need," he says. "I use a more holistic approach to piece together each patient’s complex puzzle and develop an individualized treatment plan. Most patients feel a sense of relief at having this ‘game plan’ as they move forward."
Dr. Mazza specializes in back and neck injuries and pain with interventional, non-surgical spine care as well as sports medicine and prolotherapy. He is also a team physician for Lafayette College and Pocono Mountain East and West High Schools. Dr. Mazza pursued a career in sports medicine because he wanted to have the skills to help people.
