Dr. Lichtenberg is a founding partner of the Hudson Valley Heart Center. One of the moving forces behind the development of Heart Health, our cardiac rehabilitation center, he has applied his considerable expertise to the job of revitalizing this important part of The Heart Center.
Dedicated to his profession and his community, he has helped found and build numerous organizations. He was a founding member of the Taconic Independent Practice Association and the New York Cardiology Network. He also sits on the board of Vassar Brothers Hospital Foundation and has served on the Board of the Mohawk Valley Physician's Health Plan.
Relentless in the pursuit of excellence, Dr. Lichtenberg's energy and lifelong quest for academic excellence has served him and his patients well. A New York State Medical Regents Scholar, he also earned the U.S. Army Commendation Medal. He majored in chemistry at Swarthmore College and graduated from Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons. He then completed postgraduate internship, residency and cardiovascular fellowship training at St. Luke's Hospital in New York City.
Dr. Lichtenberg is Board Certified as a Diplomate in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
