Dr. Irwin is a Board-Certified pediatrician and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics who joined the practice in 1999. A native of Wilmington, Delaware, Dr. Irwin earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Yale University (in Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry), then a master’s degree in the same from Columbia University. She graduated from Jefferson Medical College as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed her pediatric training at the DuPont Hospital for Children/Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Pediatric Residency program, where she was awarded the John W. Maroney Award for Excellence in Ambulatory Care. Her professional interests include patient/family education. Dr. Irwin is married and has two sons and a very energetic dog. She enjoys hiking with her dog, playing the piano, decorating cakes, reading, traveling and, of course, spending time with all her boys.
