Brief Intro

"Over the years that I have performed modern eye surgery, I have never seen any procedure that improves the quality of a patient’s life more than refractive surgery. I am grateful that I have been able to protect and improve the vision of so many South Carolinians.” Dr. Seltzer was the first eye surgeon to bring refractive surgery to the Charleston area. He performed radial keratotomy (RK) and astigmatic keratotomy (AK), helping thousands of Low country residents have better vision without glasses or contact lenses. In line with his commitment to utilizing the most modern techniques, when the excimer laser was introduced in 1996, Dr. Seltzer once again led the way by offering LASIK to his patients to correct nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. Dr. Seltzer joined Carolina Eyecare Physicians in 2009. He specializes in laser refractive surgery, including photo-refractive keratoplasty (PRK) and LASIK, combining his extensive experience and the most up-to-date techniques available to treat his patients.
