Meet Shannon R. Thomas, D.M.D. Dr. Shannon R. Thomas, is a native of Destin, FL and attended the University of Florida for her undergraduate work. After an early acceptance into dental school, she then received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and completed a hospital residency at the University of Colorado. Dr. Thomas completed her 3-year periodontic postgraduate residency at the University of Alabama, where she received her extensive training in periodontics and implant dentistry. Dr. Thomas is an active member of the American Academy of Peirodontics, the Southern Academy of Periodontics, the American Dental Association. She is also involved with the Calhoun County District Dental Society, the UAB Alumni Association, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and the Seattle Study Club. Dr. Thomas continues to stay on the cutting edge of the latest advances in periodontics and implant dentistry. She and her staff care about you and your dental needs and offer compassionate and professional care.
