Scott Hallgren, DO, FACP, FASGE, is a board-certified physician specializing in gastroenterology and hepatology. Dr. Hallgren sees patients in the metro Denver area for digestive and liver concerns such as colon polyps, diverticulosis, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Barrett's esophagus, Crohn's disease, fatty liver disease and pancreatitis. He was drawn to medicine to help people recover from health problems and live a happy, well life.
Dr. Hallgren received his osteopathic medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine after receiving a bachelor’s in zoology from the University of Maryland. He completed a rotating internship at Martin Army Community Hospital, an internal medicine residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center and a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at William Beaumont Army Medical Center. Dr. Hallgren has been recognized by 5280 Magazine Awards as a Top Doctor in 2023.
He’s a fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and a fellow of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (FASGE).
When not caring for patients, Dr. Hallgren enjoys bicycling, exercising, cross-country and downhill skiing, golf and pickleball.
