A native of Canyon Lake, TX, Dr. Hecox specializes in orthopedic hand, elbow and wrist surgery.He matriculated at the University of Texas Medical Branch for medical school and graduated with highest honors. This was followed by Orthopedic residency at the prestigious Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN. Dr. Hecox then completed his Hand, Elbow and Wrist Fellowship at The Hand Center of San Antonio.After a short time on staff for the Orthopedic department at the University of Texas Medical Branch, Dr. Hecox moved to Waco as part of Southwest Sports Medicine and Orthopaedics (SWSMO).Dr. Hecox is married to Celeste Hecox, MD, a Hillcrest pediatrician. He enjoys spending time with their three children, water skiing and camping.
