Dr. Andrews earned his medical degree from the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. Following graduation, he completed his internship and residency at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Dr. Andrews also completed an endocrinology fellowship at LSU. He has been on staff at the Ochsner Medical Center since 2006, and is board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology. His specialties include thyroid nodules, thyroid ultrasound, metabolic syndrome and diabetes. He is co-author of the best selling book, "Sugar Busters".
